like any other drug that is available on the market, fosomax does have several side effects. There have been studies done that show the use of fosomax can lead to fractures in the femur. While lots of people have been helped by the drug, of course there are some that have experienced very bad fosomax side effects and even had to file lawsuits.
If you don’t know this already, fosomax is a drug that has been used to treat bone loss and Paget’s disease in men and women. It can help postmenopausal women increase and maintain their bone density. Unfortunately there are some well known side effects and I will list them below.
POSSIBLE FOSOMAX SIDE EFFECTS:
- Diarrhea
- nausea
- constipation
- ulcers in the esophagus
- I problems
- pain in the joints and muscles
- skin rash
One of the most serious fosomax side effects is the possible development of a bone disease called osteonecrosis. The common name for this condition is called dead jaw. What happens is you can experience temporary or permanent loss of blood to your bone tissue in large joints. It can affect the knees and hips and ankles but mostly results in a condition known as dead jaw. If you develop this condition you can experience extreme pain in your jawbone very similar to arthritis.
Always discuss with your doctor before you go on any new medication to make sure that it is right for you most medications have side effects. Hopefully we have provided you with some insight on fosomax side effects.
